We can care for your child before or after school, giving you more flexibility in your schedule and peace of mind that they’re in quality care. With lots of play-based activities to keep them mentally and physically active, they’ll love their new routine too. All outside school hours care (OSHC) locations are situated in or close to school premises, so no travel is required to get to and from school.
A 40-place service offering vacation care and before and after school care.
A 30-place service offering both before and after school care.
During their school years, your child will start to develop their interests, identity, belonging and relationships. OSHC nurtures their strengths and curiosities, encouraging them to take the lead in their learning by choosing play and leisure activities meaningful to them. All of Wanslea’s curricula, principles and practices are based on the Early Years Learning Framework and My Time, Our Place Framework, that aim to extend and enrich children’s wellbeing and development. Our service quality is based on the National Quality Standard.
Our educators are qualified and experienced in creating safe, respectful relationships that build trust with the children in their care. Wanslea’s strong Western Australian history, family-focused staff initiatives and supportive culture allow us to attract and retain exceptional educators in our OSHC locations.
OSHC offers lots of opportunities for children to engage in play and learning, both indoors and outdoors. Sport, games, homework, reading, music and art are just some of the activities your child may participate in while in our care.
We recognise your family as the first and most influential educator of your child, so our educators develop respectful relationships with your family. From your home to our OSHC locations, every child benefits from familiar and consistent routines and practices. We encourage families to take an active role in their child’s learning and communicate regularly with parents to ensure that we’re creating routines that are similar and supportive of one another. We also have an online forum for you to follow your child’s learning journey.
We are committed to diversity and inclusion. We respect the culture, lifestyle choices and abilities of each child and their family, providing inclusion support for children who need this. By offering educational programming that provides opportunities to engage with people and activities from a range of backgrounds and cultures, we aim to inspire acceptance and belonging. Each child in our care is encouraged to embrace diversity with curiosity and wonder.
Fill in the online enrolment for your closest OSHC location. You can find an enrolment link on each location page.
Once we receive and review your application, we will be in touch to let you know whether there is a place available for your child. If your preferred OSHC location is full, we will put you on our waitlist and will contact you when a place is available.
Once your place is confirmed, you can ensure you and your child are prepared for before or after school care by reading the outside of school hours care parent handbook and contacting your chosen OSHC if you have any questions.
