The experiences your child has in their early years are crucial to their success in school and beyond.

At the Child and Parent Centre (CPC) Mount Lockyer, we work alongside families to help children get the best possible start in life.

Attending the CPC gives your family access to a range of services to support your child’s health, development and transition into school. We also offer regular programs to help parents build upon their existing skills and prepare for their child’s school years. All of our programs and services are free.

At the CPC, your child can participate in engaging activities that help develop their language and literacy skills, physical health and social skills. These programs can lead to early identification of any potential barriers to your child’s learning and we offer referrals to services such as dieticians, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and more.

Regular programs run at the CPC include:

  • Story Time
  • Little Movers and Groovers
  • Playgroups, including one for babies 0-8 months and a Dad’s monthly Saturday morning session
  • Kindergarten readiness program
  • School holiday activities
  • Parenting workshops
  • Child health nurse on site

For more information about our current programs visit the Child and Parent Centre website.
