All parents need support sometimes, especially when things feel stressful, overwhelming or out of control.

If you feel like you’re missing the routines, skills and confidence you need to be the best parent you can be, we can assist you. The Children and Parenting Support Service is available in the City of Stirling, City of Bayswater, City of Belmont and Town of Victoria Park - click here for details.

How we can help

We know it’s not easy to ask for help. We believe that you are the expert in your life and are here to offer guidance and encouragement. From managing your children’s routines to managing their behaviours, sometimes small changes can make a big difference. Our experienced Social Workers and Family Support Workers use evidence-based approaches to build on your existing skills and knowledge.

With our help, you can:

  • Strengthen and enhance your relationship with your child
  • Better protect your child’s physical safety and well-being needs
  • Support your child’s growth and development through play
  • Connect to networks and resources in your community
  • Develop new strategies to guide your children’s behaviour

How to access support

1. Understand your eligibility

Please ensure you, or the family you’re referring to the program, are eligible for support. This service is available to parents and carers of children aged 0-12 years living in one of these locations. If there are older children in the family, they will not be excluded from the support provided.

2. Complete an application

If you think you or your client could benefit from this service, and have confirmed eligibility, please complete and return the referral form following the instructions on the form.

3. Help isn’t far away

You will receive an email response to let you know that your referral has been received. Our team will be in touch within two business days if there are problems with your referral. You will also receive further information from us about when and how you can access this service. If you have any questions, you can always call the Duty Social Worker on 08 9245 2441.
